Gone Country
For this weeks blog I chose a song that I wish I had listened to sooner in my life. I chose to listen to Gone Country by Alan Jackson. I have always liked country music and I have heard of Alan Jackson and couple of his songs but not this one. But I really liked this song because I felt like low key describes my small town. Because throughout all year no one dresses like they are from the country and then a rodeo comes a long and then it looks like they have “gone country”. I think it mostly relates to when he has the lyric “look at those boots” because everyone only pulls out their boots for one occasion and I am one of these people. But I feel like this song is really the country style that I am used to. It is not super twangy and western it is just a good in between. I also just feel like Gone Country is also just a good song to sing along to during the summer or really anytime. I would always recommend this song now after listening to it, or just any country song in that case.
My dad loves this song. I swear every time I get into the car this song plays at least once. But just like you I also really enjoy country music. I really like how you found a way to connect to this song and make it personal to you. I think the best songs are ones that you can find a connection with.
